For 15 years, Dr. Emanuel Cirenza has traveled to Uganda to serve alongside AOET Uganda and Operation One. For more than a decade, he has led annual teams of 10–17 volunteers — from teens to seniors, medical professionals and community members alike — to provide hands-on care and support.
Serving communities in Jinja and Lira, the organization operates primary and secondary schools, a children’s village for adopted orphans, and a medical clinic offering everything from HIV care and immunizations to prenatal care and safe deliveries.
As a member of the Medical Center Committee, Dr. Cirenza has helped expand patient care through critical upgrades — including a vaccine refrigerator, point-of-care ultrasound, and essential lab equipment.
This work isn’t just a mission. It’s a calling. And it continues to change lives — both in Uganda and at home.
