The situation with COVID-19 is changing rapidly, with new developments coming day by day, hour by hour. We want to remain connected to you. We continue to provide care in our offices, but we are excited to announce that we now offer telehealth as an option to deliver care! Now you can receive the same great care from us – except at a distance. Telehealth includes telephone visits or video and audio visits using Doxy.me to provide you care. This technology is essential during these times as we try to socially distance and keep patients out of our offices when possible. Due to these challenging times, there is currently no copayment for your telehealth visit, and your visit is documented in your electronic health record just like a traditional visit.

Don’t worry, the telehealth process is easy. Here’s what you’ll need if you have a telehealth video visit –  either a  smartphone or tablet (iPhone or Android) with a camera, microphone, and speaker or a computer with a camera, microphone, and speaker capabilities, and a stable data connection (wi-fi or cellular service). You don’t need to download any apps or software, but when prompted, you will need to enable your camera and microphone.

You’ll still call our office first for any appointments you need. Our reception team will determine if telehealth is appropriate for your visit. If so, you will receive a link via email or text to use at the time of your telehealth visit.  Please be sure to keep handy any links that you received via email or text from your provider’s office. When it’s time for your appointment, clicking that link will take you to the Virtual Waiting Room, where your practitioner will meet you. In some instances, we may still ask that you come into the office, at which point you can rest assured that we have protocols in place to limit the exposure to COVID-19.

We have one request – please bear with us as we navigate this new process. We had plans to implement telehealth, but coronavirus expedited our timeline. We hope the process is as smooth as possible, but there may be some hiccups. Our top priority is to keep our patients and staff as safe as possible while still providing a high level of clinical skill and decision making.

We are excited to offer alternative ways to care for you. Please call our office with any questions. Visit https://communitycare.com/telemedicine/ for more information on telehealth.
